Papakura’s art gallery offers artists the opportunity to put their work in front of the community and the community the opportunity to see and take part in what is going on.
A Papakura resident for most of her life, Gallery Manager Emma Millynn says the gallery is one of the district’s most valuable artistic assets as it privides a place for creative work to be shown and for creative people to congregate.
“Papakura has a strong sense of community and identity, and the gallery is the perfect place to reflect that and put the creative work on show.”

Gallery Assistant
Aimee Bearda
Aimee studied graphic design and has worked for several companies as a freelance designer. Her role at the Papakura Art Gallery is primarily focussed on installing exhibitions and ensuring that they are maintained to the highest standard possible while on show.
Aimee’s graphic design experience permeates all aspects of the gallery and she enjoys working with artists to help them realise their exhibition concept and present it to the public.
